Estimates and getting started
What to expect before any work begins.
4 questionsIs the estimate really free?
Yes. Every project starts with a free, no-obligation on-site estimate so you know the scope and cost before any work begins.
How do I request an estimate?
Use the estimate form or call 727-427-1874. Tell us about your project and we will schedule an on-site consultation.
What happens during the on-site evaluation?
We inspect your pool, discuss your goals, and recommend the best solution for your home. Afterward you receive a detailed proposal outlining the scope of work, timeline, and project details.
What should I have ready for my estimate?
It helps to know what you want to change, any problems you have noticed (a rough surface, cracked tile, a leak, equipment that is acting up), and roughly when you would like the work done. Photos are a bonus but not required.
Licensing and trust
Who is doing the work on your pool.
4 questionsIs Chlorine Cowboy a licensed pool contractor?
Yes. Chlorine Cowboy is a Florida Certified Pool/Spa Contractor, License #CPC1461641.
What does Florida Certified Pool/Spa Contractor mean?
Florida certifies pool and spa contractors through the state. Certification means the contractor met the state requirements for the license and is authorized to take on pool and spa work in Florida.
How can I verify a contractor's license?
Look up the license number on the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR) license search. Ours is CPC1461641. It is worth checking for any contractor you hire.
Is Chlorine Cowboy owner-operated?
Yes. Chlorine Cowboy Pool Services is a family-owned, owner-operated company based in the Tampa Bay area.
Services and projects
What we build, renovate, and repair.
5 questionsWhat pool contracting services do you offer?
We handle pool resurfacing, remodeling, deck and paver installation, water features, equipment installation and repair, and tile and coping repair.
How do I know if my pool needs resurfacing?
Common signs are a rough or stained surface, a flaking or peeling finish, visible cracks, and areas that look worn or etched. We inspect your pool during the on-site evaluation and tell you what it needs.
Can you add a waterfall or water feature to an existing pool?
In many cases, yes. What works depends on your pool, equipment, and layout, so we look at it during the on-site evaluation and recommend options that fit.
Do you work on screened-in pools?
Yes. Many of the pools we work on sit inside screened enclosures, which is common across the Tampa Bay area.
Can you replace or repair pool equipment?
Yes. We install and repair pumps, filters, heaters, and automation, and we can look at equipment during your estimate.
Timeline and process
How a project runs from first call to finished pool.
4 questionsHow long does a typical pool resurfacing or remodel take?
Timelines depend on the scope of work. We give you a realistic schedule as part of your detailed proposal before the project starts.
What are the steps of a project?
There are five: request your free estimate, on-site evaluation, detailed proposal, professional installation or service, and enjoying your pool.
Will I get the details in writing?
Yes. The detailed proposal outlines the scope of work, timeline, and project details so there are no surprises.
Does my project need a permit?
Many pool projects, especially structural changes, need a permit from your city or county. We will go over what your project involves during the estimate.
